The Fade Beast was slain and his body parts spread over many areas in The Deep Roads, finding those parts and restoring them on the Altar of Sundering will summon the beast. It is then up to The Warden to let him go (for a reward of 25 Gold 50 Silver) or fight him for some experience and possibly some random loot. There appear to be no negative effects from taking the gold instead of experience.

See Pride Demon for suggestions on how to defeat it.
