- A somewhat easier way to get this item is to travel to the Riverwatch Camp on the Exalted Plains. Walk into the field with the scarecrow and continue to up the hill until you encounter three snoufleurs together. Save when all the snoufleurs are beside you. Kill them and reload if need be until you obtain the item. When controlling a mage, the base attack can quickly kill all three.
- A much more expedient method is to go to the frozen river near Sahrnia in Emprise du Lion where Snoufleur are available in much greater (unlimited) numbers and spawn very regularly. Fade-Touched Snoufleur Skin (10% Chance to grant 12 seconds of Horn of Valor) & (On Hit: Heal 1% of Maximum Health) both randomly drop an estimated 2% of the time. Out of 342 Snoufleur skins collected (about 30 minutes worth using a Mage with Staff); one of each F-T skin was received. That amounts to .584%. Snoufleur skins however, do not drop one at a time, with 4+ being very common with the excess not being used to craft classless armor being available for sale for a considerable amount of coin. Note: The Token of the Packmaster if worn by a party member other than the Inquisitor can sometimes keep the wolves peaceful and will permit the collection of Snoufleur Skins with no interference on the frozen river and the wolves will ally and even help take down Great Bear when they (the Great Bears) occasionally show up as long as the Token of the Packmaster is functioning correctly.
