Evka Ivo is a Grey Warden, originally from Orzammar.
Background[]
Evka was born in Orzammar, presumably as a member of Noble House Ivo. While in the Deep Roads, she was rescued by Warden Lawrence after finding herself attacked by a blighted creature with two mouths. Lawrence was so insistent on being able to save just one more person that he attracted a Spirit of Perseverance to keep him fighting despite his fatal wounds. Evka ordered the spirit to release him, and to tell him that she'd save the next one for him.[1]

Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights[]

Hunger
Evka has been a Grey Warden for three years. She was taking Antoine, an elf from Orlais newly recruited into the Wardens, to a quiet outpost when they received summons to Weisshaupt. On their way to the fortress, Evka and Antoine stumble on the supposedly cursed village of Eichweill in the Anderfels. The town has been suffering from a spate of disappearances. Mina Bauer, the sister of the latest victim, asks the Wardens for help. Antoine, who believes in the Order's heroism, accepts immediately.
The Wardens' investigation uncovers the truth: Renke, a noble's son who was ran out of town for poisoning a Chantry brother, starved in the woods and attracted a demon of Hunger. He turned into a werewolf and has been infecting villagers like Willem, Mina's brother, as payback. As killing the source of the curse is said to end it, Antoine and Evka hunt Renke down. Antoine is bitten before they kill the werewolf, but with the source of the curse dead, they continue on to Weisshaupt, believing Willem and Antoine cured, the village safe.
The demon has not been destroyed however, only banished, laying in wait for an opening from its victim.
Short Story: Won't Know When[]
After killing an ogre in a cave, Evka and Antoine reminisce about their previous close calls: killing several ogres to allow halla to return to their fields, stopping the spread of Blight sickness outside Kassel, fighting a demon in the Merdaine, and being bit by an unknown creature in Arlathan. Before more darkspawn arrive, Evka tells him to "ask her again." Turning his entire focus towards her, Antoine asks Evka to marry him. She says yes then kisses him.
Dragon Age: The Missing[]

Dragon Age: The Veilguard[]
Lace Harding reaches out to Evka and Antoine to covertly meet in the High Anderfels away from the prying eyes of the First Warden. By the time Rook and Harding arrive, the Warden couple had already slayed an ogre. If Rook is a Grey Warden, they are friends with Evka and Antoine. Upon being told of the Evanuris having altered the blight and the darkspawn, Antoine notes that it lines up with the oddities in the blight they've been investigating; Evka will acknowledge that Grey Warden Rook wouldn't lie about something like this. Unfortunately, Rook's word and the couple's theories won't be enough to convince the Grey Wardens of the threat. Evka will then recommend Rook seek out Davrin.
Evka and Antoine are later sent to Lavendel to investigate the surge of blight in the region. They assign Rook to collect samples of the blight to confirm that it had indeed been altered. But once the samples were gathered, the trio are discovered by First Warden Jowin Glastrum, who stubbornly denies the evidence, thinking they were lied to by Rook, and ordered the two Wardens to report back to Weisshaupt.
Soon enough, Weisshaupt is besieged by darkspawn commanded by Ghilan'nain and her Archdemon Razikale. Present at the war room, Evka argued that they had to fall back to the dragon trap but Glastrum stubbornly refused, determined to send the entire Order to their deaths out of pride. Rook can then either punch or talk down the First Warden. Subsequently, following the fall of Weisshaupt and the loss of the First Warden, Evka effectively became “acting” First Warden, having been second-in-command behind Glastrum at Weisshaupt.
The Blight has surged in the Hossberg Wetlands and the Grey Warden remnants has been holding them off to protect Lavendel. The Wardens can enlist Rook's help in retrieving medical supplies,[2] rescuing pinned down Grey Wardens,[3] and dispatching mercenary thieves taking advantage of the Blight to loot Warden relics and Ander valuables.[4] Rook can also help the remaining Grey Wardens defend Lavendel from a darkspawn incursion. After fending off the small horde of darkspawn, Antoine sensed a new, evil Calling in the blight. Antoine explained that at first, Antoine sensed the blighted elven gods, but then the blight song he began hearing called to something dark in the Wetlands. He claimed the intelligence emitting the new blight song felt pleased.[5]
Evka and Antoine learned that after the elven gods changed the blight, it may have independently altered itself. The Blight is now answering to something other than the elven gods. The Grey Warden couple believes the source of the new blight song controlling the Blight is a blight eruption, a construct of the Blight. If the eruption can call the blight, it could also affect the Grey Wardens and spark the Calling sooner. Evka and Antoine enlist Rook's aid in finding and destroying the blight eruption while the Grey Wardens guard any territory the Blight hasn't spread to yet. Antoine provides Rook his explosive, alchemical flame concoction to destroy the blight eruption. After destroying the Blight eruption, Rook reports back to Evka and Antoine at the Sheltered Glade. Evka and Antoine explained that after the Blight eruption was destroyed, the blight withdrew and the bigger tendrils pulled back. When the Blight withdrew, flowers that survived by being buried and untouched by the blight began to open up, and the land became healthy enough for the flowers to return.
After all the Archdemons are destroyed, Evka and Antoine suspects that some Grey Wardens will retire until their Calling. Others, such as the couple, will continue fighting the blight in the world and investigating the new blight song. Furthermore, since the blight has changed, it may have changed the Grey Wardens as well. Whatever threats turn up, Evka and Antoine pledge to combat it.[6]
Evka leads the Grey Wardens against the Juggernaut/Bone Golem in the Battle of Minrathous. Depending on Rook's decisions, she may even be the one who deals the construct a critical blow.
