As the nobility of Val Royeaux rallies behind either the desRosiers or the Thibaults, Lady Eustace Richelieu has emerged as a strong voice at court, suggesting several arranged marriages to solidify alliances and improve her standing by playing the role of matchmaker and arbiter. She wishes to arrange the marriage of Lord Pierren desRosiers to young Celeste Thibault, while Celeste herself wants to marry the love of her life, Jecin Leandre. Lady Richelieu disapproves of the pairing, deeming it less profitable, and asks the Inquisition for assistance in the matter. The Inquisitor can choose to resolve the situation in a number of ways.

The Inquisitor can choose to attend the wedding ceremony, which is held on the Upper Level of the Summer Bazaar in Val Royeaux. Lady Richelieu will also be in attendance, threatening to nullify the proceedings if she can. She is shocked to find the Inquisitor in attendance, and displeased if they decide to give the union their blessing. When Lady Richelieu criticizes Celeste and Jecin for ruining their houses, they retort that they'll make a life and a name just to spite her, and that there's no point in matching power to power just to gain more power. Lady Richelieu blames their youth for their stance. She thanks the Inquisitor for coming to the wedding, saying that they've certainly made an impression.
If the Inquisitor helps Lady Richelieu arrange the marriage between Celeste and Lord desRosiers:
The Inquisitor can choose to attend the wedding ceremony, which is held on the Upper Level of the Summer Bazaar in Val Royeaux. Lady Richelieu will also be in attendance. The Inquisitor can bless the proceedings, either telling them to find purpose in duty or to marry for duty and love in secret. If the former, Lady Richelieu hints that she wishes to offer guidance, if not more, to Lady Celeste at court, but is told to shut up by the new bride. If the latter, Lady Celeste plans to reunite with Jecin as her lover, with the blessing of her new husband. Lady Richelieu is not particularly pleased by this course of action. In either case, Lady Richelieu thanks the Inquisitor for coming to the wedding.
