- In contrast to description, each hit from Energy Barrage lowers magic resistance instead of certain elemental resistance. In other words, it will not remove elemental immunity from enemies but will boost elemental damage for a brief duration (a equivalent of Vulnerability Hex in Dragon Age: Origins ). Even if the target is highly resistant to the staff's magic type, a caster is able to overcome that via heavier hit from spells like Spirit Blade, Stonefist and Walking Bomb.
