“Denial of the traditions of our people does not qualify as a political technicality!”

King Endrin Aeducan is the current king of the dwarves in Orzammar and the father of the Dwarf Noble as well as the Dwarf Nobles' brothers Prince Trian Aeducan and Prince Bhelen Aeducan.

Background

King Endrin of House Aeducan traces his ancestry back to the Paragon Aeducan, the greatest warrior of Orzammar's history, who beat back the darkspawn hordes in the First Blight. The second son of King Ansgar Aeducan, he became heir after his elder brother died in a Proving. The most respected king in four generations, he restored contact with Kal-Sharok, the only other remaining city of the once-vast Dwarven Empire, which had been lost during the First Blight.

Involvement

In the Dwarf Noble origin, Endrin exiles the Dwarf Noble, after believing that the future warden was responsible for Trian's death. This is subject to what the warden says when standing over Trian's body and talking to Lord Pyral Harrowmont.

When the Warden arrives in Orzammar, it is revealed that he died of grief, after Trian's death and his second child's exile (the Dwarf Noble). This leads to the political unrest in Orzammar.

If the Dwarf Noble resolves the quest Of Noble Birth, and regains his son's noble status, he may name his son Endrin.

Also, if the player is a Dwarf Commoner, and Bhelen becomes king, Bhelen and Rica's son is also named Endrin.

Quotes

  • "Denial of the traditions of our people does not qualify as a political technicality."
  • "There are more important things in life than monetary gain, my Lords Bemot and Meino. The Assembly of Kal-Sharok will respect the rule of Orzammar, or they will rot and die alone, surrounded by enemies."
  • "Feast, drink, and celebrate; for the morning brings BATTLE!"
  • "I will not drag my son to Orzammar in chains." - (Said near the end of the Dwarven Noble origin)

Trivia

  • His line "Feast, drink, and celebrate..." may be a reference to the quote "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die!"
