Ellendra[bugs 1] is a former Enchanter of the circle who refused to pick a side during the Mage-Templar War. She can be found in the Hinterlands, near the herbalist's hut located at the Crossroads.

Background[]

Ellendra belonged to the College of Aequitarians before the war began. She had too many friends on either side of the war to be able to pick a side, so she chose to abstain from the conflict.

Involvement[]

This section contains spoilers for:
Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Ellendra refused to join the rebel mages. At first, she chose to use her magic to help the common people of the Hinterlands, but as her presence put them at risk from rebel templars, she eventually decided to isolate herself from them and wait for her Templar lover's return. She can be recruited as an agent for the Inquisition any time after completing the side quest My Lover's Phylactery if the Inquisitor is a human mage, has the Arcane Knowledge perk or if Vivienne is in the party.

Note: Recruiting Ellendra after completing In Hushed Whispers may potentially require conscripting the mages instead of allying with them.
