Background[]
When Magister Gereon Alexius had all the Chantry members escorted out of the village for their "safety," Eglantine refused to leave and stayed behind to offer the mages spiritual guidance.
Involvement[]
Eglantine can be found outside, between the tavern and the chantry, standing near Lysas. When meeting the Inquisitor, she tells them that everyone says that they've been sent by Andraste to save the world, and that she'll be the first to believe if it will save lives and bring peace. If the Inquisitor tells her that they hope not to disappoint, Eglantine says that she hopes for that too.
When questioned about her support of mages, she says that mages are the children of the Maker like everyone else and that they struggle no less with questions of faith. On the question of Circles, she says that if given a choice between Circle and death, most mages were willing to give up small freedoms for safety, but that the pendulum has swung and that any restraint is now too much. She tells the Inquisitor that mages should be given a chance to prove they deserve freedom.
When questioned about the Rebel Mages' alliance with the Tevinter Imperium, Eglantine notes that the Imperium still acknowledged the Maker through the death of Andraste and multiple Exalted Marches, but now the magisters in Redcliffe laugh when she mentions the Maker, leaving her uneasy.
