As Donnen investigates his murder, he comes into conflict with a mysterious organization known as the Executors, agents of the [[Chantry]], and various self-interested parties over the fate of the Sword of [[Hessarian]], the sword that killed [[Andraste]]. Though he is ultimately successful in bringing Dunwald's murderer to justice, Donnen is seriously wounded during the course of his investigation. He is also successful in recovering the Sword of Hessarian. Donnen Brennokovic is the main character of Dragon Age: Hard in Hightown.

Background

Donnen is the fictional protagonist of Varric Tethras' best-selling crime serial, Hard in Hightown. He is a veteran member of the Kirkwall City Guard, two weeks away from retirement.

Involvement

The plot follows BioWare's own canon, meaning it may not follow some of the player's choices in the games.

While patrolling Kirkwall's Hightown at night, Donnen and his fellow guardsman Jevlan discover the corpse of Magistrate Dunwald.
