Changes: Defending the Collective

Defending the Collective/Defying the Collective is a quest received from The Mages' Collective Quest Board. The Collective desires a courier with "Most Trusted Status" to deliver a package of testimonies to Knight-Commander Harrith.

This quest will be given in Denerim after all the other quests for the collective have been completed.

Walkthrough[]

There are two options available for this quest:

Give the evidence to Knight-Commander Harrith (in Redcliffe Village), who, it is implied, buries the evidence and protects the Collective from further investigation.

Give the evidence to Knight-Commander Tavish (in the Denerim Market District) who, it is implied, conducts his own Exalted March against the Collective.

Return to any representative of the Collective for a reward.

This is the final quest for the Mage's Collective and must be completed before the Landsmeet if you wish to Defend the Collective, otherwise your target will no longer be in Redcliffe as the village is once again under siege. If you have not completed this before commencing The Final Battle quest, you will be unable to complete it as neither the Redcliffe nor Denerim contacts will be there.

It is possible that this quest will not be available if:

The Warden sided against the collective in Careless Accusations quest.
The Warden sided with Tavish in the A Gift of Silence quest.

Bugs[]

You can give the documents to both Knight-Commander Harrith and Knight-Commander Tavish. If you give them to Harrith first, you will get the reward from the Mages' Collective. Then when you give them to Tavish, you get another 1 from him directly.
