Commander's Plate Boots are massive boots in Dragon Age: Origins.

Acquisition

  • A pair of these boots can be found right at the start of the game in the Korcari Wilds. As this is a rare drop, you will have to try multiple times, so it is advisable to make your backup save before speaking to the guard stationed at the Korcari Wilds gate in Ostagar as the items are set at the first instance you enter the Wilds.

The chest that possibly contains the Commander's Plate Boots is the one situated at the bottom left of the Korcari Wilds map, in between two large statues, guarded by a large pack of wolves including an Alpha Wolf.

Note: If you open this chest without first activating The Missionary side-quest by examining Missionary Jogby's body, you will not be able to complete this side-quest. Ensure that you activate this quest first, and then open your chest.

The quickest way is to run straight to Missionary Jogby as soon as you enter the Wilds, activate the side-quest, and then run straight to the chest, ignoring all enemies you encounter. Check the contents of the chest, if you did not get the boots, reload from your save point, which should be in Ostagar, just before speaking to the guard for the Korcari Wilds gate.

Note: Save on the Main Floor just before the stairs to the Upper Floor, in order to make repeated attempts at the chest containing Eamon's Shield, and possibly the Commander's Plate Boots.
  • These boots can also be found in a chest near Habren in the Denerim Market District.
