Western passages are deteriorating fast. Sea wall's crumbling and tides are coming in. A rough winter storm or two and we might lose the route entirely... and with it, our safest way to get people out of Minrathous.
There might be another way through the catacombs though. Remember when I took a tumble down the Spillways into the catacombs' depths? Took me a few days to get back to the upper levels. Had to make my way through graves the builders never cleared out. But there are openings to the Deep Roads down there. And I could find them again.
