Dearest Lace,
I have to say, your letters arrive more reliably than they did when you were at Skyhold. Those magic elven mirrors must make things so much easier. I still don't know if I'd be brave enough to go through one of them myself, though.
It was wonderful to meet your friends Emmrich and Manfred. Emmrich was lovely, and very interested in my garden. You needn't have worried about my reaction to Manfred. I'm from Ferelden. I've seen walking skeletons. None nearly as polite as Manfred, of course. Remember what happened to Redcliffe during the Fifth Blight? Some of those undead wandered beyond the village and into the surrounding farmland. I had to run one down with my pony so it wouldn't attack a herd of goats.
You must tell me the next time your friends are planning to visit. I'll have pie ready.
Love, Ma.
