Closure is an Act 3 companion quest for Varric in Dragon Age II.

Acquisition[]

After either letting Varric keep the Lyrium Idol shard or giving it to Sandal, at the end of the quest Haunted.

Walkthrough[]

Head back to the Hanged Man to speak with Varric.

  • He will thank Hawke for "watching his back" if the shard was given to Sandal, admitting that he doesn't know what came over him in Bartrand's estate.
  • If he was allowed to keep the shard however, he will promise to be careful with it.

Result[]

If you let Varric keep the shard:

  • If Varric is a Friend then Friendship Varric: friendship (+10).
  • If Varric is a Rival:
    • Diplomatic or Aggressive response: Rivalry Varric: rivalry (+10)
    • Humorous response: Rivalry Varric: rivalry (+5)
