Ser Cauthrien is a knight and Teyrn Loghain's lieutenant. She is almost always seen at his side, Cautherien appears to be very devoted to Loghain. You meet her towards the end of the game in Denerim, once you have started the Landsmeet event. After you rescue the Queen, she confronts you. You are given the choice to surrender or attack. If you surrender, you will be taken prisoner, but soon escape. She is met again at the actual Landsmeet meeting. It appears she wishes to fight you to stop you from interfering with Loghain.
