The Warden can either surrender or fight her (see [[Ser Cauthrien (Strategy)]] for detailed suggestions on how to defeat her). Winning the battle is rewarder with [[The Summer Sword]], while losing or surrendering leads to [[Captured!]].

Ser Cauthrien is a knight and Teyrn Loghain Mac Tir's most trusted lieutenant in Dragon Age: Origins.

Background

As a youth Cauthrien helped Loghain in a fight against bandits, not realising who he was. Loghain was so impressed with her actions that he took her into his service.
