List the Love Interests on The Waden/Hawke/Inquisitor pages

After seeing King Cousland add the love interests category and pages, I have an idea. Shouldn't we add the list of love interests for the Warden, Hawke and the Inquisitor on their respective pages? Like for the Inquisitor, we can add a section for 'Love Interests' and add Cullen, Cassandra and Sera on that section. What do you think? Supergodzilla118 (talk) Supergodzilla118 13:40, June 11, 2014 (UTC)

Personally, I think is covered quite sufficiently on the individual romance pages. Chantry symbol King Cousland | Talk   14:52, June 11, 2014 (UTC)
I can agree with that. Supergodzilla118 (talk) Supergodzilla118 15:20, June 11, 2014 (UTC)

Who should be on the list?

I'm thinking those who give sincere affection or pleasure to the players should be listed. Which is why Anora shouldn't be on. Marriage or not, we never see something physical. The others are okay to me because they strike me of being similar to the brief romances from SWTOR. What do any of you think?--Mike Gilbert 22:07, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

Damn it, wikia didn't show me someone already edited this page, sorry. Vote can be made either here or below, I just wanted to give it an organized look. --Margerard is a Dragon Age Wiki Editor 22:17, July 16, 2014 (UTC)
It's okay, I forgot to add vote. Besides, it looks better when I remember how to vote.--Mike Gilbert 22:29, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

Vote - Who belong to this category?

I'd like to call for a vote on what exactly should belong to this category. I try to collect all the options mostly based on the discussion found on this talk page. If I left out any alternatives, please share

  1. Count every character as LI if there's an option to either romance them in its traditional meaning, bed them (prostitutes), have a fling with them, or marry them, which would mean everything would stay as it is right now.
  2. Don't count prostitutes, just flings, those who can be married and fully romanacable characters.
  3. Don't count flings and prostitutes as LI's, only the ones who can be married and those of traditional romances.
  4. Don't count neither flings nor prositutes as LI's, only companions/advisors with scripted, full romances.

I am, personally, in favor of the third option. --Margerard is a Dragon Age Wiki Editor 22:16, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

I'm in favor of Option 4. Counting anyone besides characters with a fully-scripted romance (i.e. companions, and advisors in Inquisition) causes too much confusion. Having a single line of dialogue wherein you can flirt, or having a quick peck on the cheek shouldn't count as an actual Love Interest. I'm not really certain on the affection part as Mike stated above, as affection can be interpreted in different ways. If it's meant as physical affection, I'm not in favor of that, because Sebastian Vale is a scripted companion romance even though you can't have a "love scene" with him. Also, what about creating a separate category for characters you can flirt with? Not sure what to name it, but it would at least separate out the two types of character.--Kelcat (talk) 22:30, July 16, 2014 (UTC)
I suppose you have a point, but I was thinking of a fifth option. Flings, full romances, or quick kisses. That's just me talking, though.--Mike Gilbert 22:35, July 16, 2014 (UTC)
A "flirt" category of sorts would be great. That would include characters like Bella, but perhaps it could include Aveline and Teagan as well. --Death by Cheese (talk) 23:16, July 16, 2014 (UTC)
I like Option 4 as well, because it's the least ambiguous, least open to interpretation. I do think it's important to note "other unions," such as political marriages and compacts like Morrigan's ritual, but I'm not sure what I'd call a category like that. --Death by Cheese (talk) 23:16, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

Perhaps the category should be renamed? I can see how "Love interests" could be confusing since it implies a sustained romantic relationship, but both that term and "Romance" is often applied to any character able to have some intimacy with the character. I can see how Anora would be seen as not belonging here, but I do think flings and prostitutes fit since they qualify as having an intimate interaction with the PC. If there's no interest in renaming, I'm happy to go with Option 4. Chantry symbol King Cousland | Talk   23:34, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

Option 4. No question. I don't think we should confuse intimacy with love - the point in a 'love interest' is to be more than sex. Else, we categorise a meaningful romantic relationships, alongside flirting and intercourse with a whore - which is what they're paid for. Alexsau1991 (talk page) 00:09, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

Option 4. – mostlyautumntalkcontribs • 05:38, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

Option 4, for what else? There is no love in marriage with Anora, it's purely political. Henio0 (talk) 05:46, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

It seems option 4 is the most obvious one to pick. My own choice is close enough to it, so I don't think I'm going to oppose it near alone. Now my question is though, what should we name the category the rest could fit into? A "Marriage" or some other title implying that would be good for Anora and Sebastian and would leave room for future games for (non-)political marriages, but until that is confirmed, only those two would fit into it - not sure if a category can be made for only two characters. For prostitutes, I think the category named after them could be easily made, unless it goes against policy or something (though I can't imagine that). And as for flings... "Romantic encounters", perhaps? --Margerard is a Dragon Age Wiki Editor 08:10, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

Sounds far.--Mike Gilbert 13:08, July 17, 2014 (UTC)

Going with Option 4 for the various reasons listed above. - Mr. Mittens (talk) 13:59, July 17, 2014 (UTC)
