All character profile pics must be small sized. Please. --Selty 01:41, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Thinking of making a main page-like link section, with button links to all the companions, notable npcs and main villians. Thoughts? --Selty 05:57, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Why this JoePlay user keeps putting up images on this wiki from other games is beyond me.But that character.jpg is certainly not from Dragon Age: Origins, it's from the Mmorpg, Guild Wars.I know,I played it for almost three years... And I actually have proof of this one. http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Warrior_Ascalon_armor -22.214.171.124 03:58, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
JoePlay is a wikia staff member. Therefore, he can do whatever he wants to do with the DA site.--Selty 07:20, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
Flemeth as a supporting character Edit
Why Flemeth categorized as a supporting character? -- Snfonseka
The movie-style trailer posters for Dragon Age listed these characters as main and supporting.

Lock the page Edit
We need to lock this page, so only registered users can edit it. We need to do that for that for these pages also; "Category:Creatures", "Category:Locations", "Category:Lore", "Origins" and "Category:Classes" -- Snfonseka
I suggest, just like we do at The Vault, the Fallout wiki, adding all Dragon Age: Origins characters, instead of to the main "Characters" category, to an "Origins characters" subcategory, which would be categorized under "Characters" and "Dragon Age: Origins". Same applies to creatures, locations, etc. This will be useful given that it certainly won't be the last Dragon Age game, and we'll be able to add similar subcategories for e.g. books or Dragon Age Journeys. Maker / The Maker Edit
It's strange that one of the characters most used during dialogue doesn't have have his/her own wiki-page. Is it omnipotent etcetera?
Alphabetical listing basis and layout Edit
I must say that the listing of the Characters page is confusing. I am wondering what is truly the basis of the listing. It appears to be alphabetical but on what basis? Their titles, first names or surnames? Teyrn Bryce Cousland and Arlessa Isolde are listed by their titles so they are found in letters "T" and "A" respectively. Knight-Commander Greagoir and Ser Gilmore are both listed at "G" for their first names but along with them are Bann Teagan and Arls Eamon and Rendorn for their surname Guerrin. Might I suggest that it is better for them to be listed by their first names as many characters do not have titles (Morrigan), do not assume them until later (Lanaya to Keeper Lanaya, Alistair to King Alistair as the case may be), or have surnames that are not popularly known (Arainai in Zevran Arainai,)
It also does not help that the list is supposedly listed in groups of 200 when it is not the case. Another is that it is fractured, with the letter "F" consisting of two columns in two different pages and the letter "G" consisting of three columns in two different pages.
PS I know this sounds terribly whiny and I apologize in advance. I promise to extend any help in resolving this matter. Aedan Cousland Theirin 01:52, May 7, 2010 (UTC)
So while browsing the toolset, I noticed that almost all characters have an age entered for them. Example: Eleanor Cousland, 40, Caridin the Paragon, 600, Tamlen, 20, Lady of the Forest, 506, the Guardian of the Sacred Ashes, 1100... the list goes on. Is this viable to add to character information? --Kaldelar (talk) 21:57, November 9, 2011 (UTC)
- The ages within the toolset is not considered canon or accurate. Per David Gaider: "Ahhhh... that's info for the VO people. It's an apparent age and gives a range for the actor, not his actual age." --D. (talk · contr) 03:55, November 10, 2011 (UTC)
Oghren rules, Am I right?Edit
Is it just me or does Oghren rule. I take him everywhere. I love having him with me because it's just good to know you've got a good tank backing you up. Also, in Awakening, it was good to see a familiar face. Again, all through awakening I used him. Does anyone else think he rules. As far as I'm concerned he is the best character. --Jiggle Daddy1988 (talk) 08:25, January 16, 2012 (UTC)
This came up as a discussion on the chat with Asherinka about the subcategories. We can't have them displayed on all pages like Wikipedia (either because of MediaWiki or an extension), and I can't find a way to generate a list automatically in a certain format to make it not-so awkward looking (I tried with DPL, but can't seem to find a solution to only display categories in a tree-like display).
I don't know if there's a way to hide the subcategories (the ideal would to "cheat" the way the fake subcategories are displayed), so the first page for listing categories will be awkward looking. I think it's still better though. --D. (talk · contr) 20:45, March 21, 2012 (UTC)
Character Descriptions Edit
- Any canonical descriptions available can usually be found on the individual character articles. There are birthdates known for quite a few main characters, and I believe some of the books list facial features for characters not in game (the ones in game obviously don't need descriptions since there are visual depictions). --♫ Kelcat Talk 04:29, November 25, 2015 (UTC)
