Cammen is a young Dalish elf located at the Dalish Camp in the Brecilian Forest. Cammen is in love with Gheyna, an elf woman located in the Dalish Camp. Gheyna refuses to marry Cammen unless he becomes a full-fledged hunter. In order to become a hunter, Cammen must first bring back the pelt of a creature he has hunted himself, which he cannot do while the Keeper forbids the elves from going into the forest.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

This section contains spoilers for:
Dragon Age: Origins.

The Warden can encounter Cammen at the Dalish Camp where he informs the Warden of his love for Gheyna. After hearing Cammen's woes, the Warden can take on the quest Cammen's Lament. The Warden can either bring them together by persuading Gheyna or providing a pelt for Cammen. Or alternatively seduce Cammen themselves (if the Warden is female) and inform Gheyna ensuring that the pair never get together.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • If the quest Nature of the Beast is completed before Cammen's Lament, Cammen can then embark upon getting the pelt of a slain creature himself leaving The Warden unable to play a part in the quest.
  • It is also possible for the male warden to romance Gheyna just as the female warden can with Cammen. Though if this is done, there is no way to get them together.
  • If the player agrees to massacre the Dalish with the werewolves during Nature of the Beast, Cammen will be one of those the player must fight and slaughter alongside their werewolf allies.
