Caged Confession is a side quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition
After Louis was captured by the red templars, he wrote a note confessing to the murder of his wife's brother, Garde.

Note: Written Confession
Obtained when a written confession is found in the Sahrnia Quarry in Emprise du Lion. The note can be found near the information needed for Cullen's companion quest, Before the Dawn.
Walkthrough[]
Return to Sahrnia with Louis' note. When the Inquisitor approaches Louis and Linette they will be presented with a choice to either give the confession to Louis and keep his secret (or) give the confession to Linette so that she may learn the truth. Either choice selected does not affect the quest rewards.
If the letter is given to Louis:
Converse with Linette and select the dialog option: "Louis killed your brother" for her to learn the truth; the quest will complete and she will ask the Inquisitor to leave.
Converse with Linette and select the dialog option: "Things will be better now", this completes the quest without her learning the truth.
