Business Arrangements is a side quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
A letter found on a templar corpse suggests that someone named Tanner is secretly doing business with templars.
Acquisition[]
Looting the letter found on a dead Templar will initiate the side quest. The letter can be found on the left side of a cabin located northwest from the Dusklight Inquisition Camp (near the corpse from the side quest Blood Brothers).
Walkthrough[]
Once the letter has been read, travel to Redcliffe Village to confront Sister Tanner about her involvement with the Templar Order.
Reading the letter reveals Sister Tanner is in fact a smuggler posing as a Chantry sister. The Herald can confront her about her peculiar "business arrangements" if they possess the Underworld Knowledge Inquisition perk, or if either Cassandra or Varric are in the current party. The conclusion of the conversation will allow Tanner to join the Inquisition as an agent working for Leliana.
If the History Knowledge Inquisition perk has been acquired an additional dialog option will be available to recruit Tanner (see Bugs below). To complete the quest, Tanner must be convinced to become an agent:
- (Special) Cassandra?
- (Special) Varric?
- (Special - Underworld Knowledge required) You can do better with us.
- (Special - History Knowledge required) You degrade the Chantry. (see Bugs below)
Rewards[]
Completing the quest yields:
- 44 XP
- Influence 40
Recruiting Smuggler Tanner as an agent for Leliana (Secrets) yields:
- Influence 50
- Power 1
Note texts[]
Bugs[]
- (patch 1.02) The "You can do better with us." option appears only if the Underworld Knowledge Inquisition perk has been selected and the "You degrade the Chantry." option only appears if the History Knowledge Inquisition perk has been selected. The dialogue wheel will incorrectly displays the Special (star) graphic for both choices. However selecting the "You degrade the Chantry." option does not properly recruit Tanner as an agent, and she will not show up as an agent in the Perks listing when viewed at the war table.
