Bring Me the Heart of Snow White is a companion quest for Vivienne in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Acquisition
This quest is received when talking to Vivienne and accepting her request that the Inquisitor find and kill a snowy wyvern and bring her its heart so that she can complete an alchemical formula. Vivienne does not specify at this point why she needs the formula.
Walkthrough
The objective is in the northern part of Exalted Plains. The Inquisitor needs to unlock and complete the operation Gain Access to Ghilan'nain's Grove in order to access the grove where wyverns are located. The location for acquiring this operation can be found a ways east from an ocularum, north from Fort Revasan. It costs 5 Power to complete.
Upon unlocking the area, when The Inquisitor first passes through the newly opened tunnel, they will be given a quest to clear a group of wyverns from the camp site in order to claim it. It is possible to collect the hearts from these and return them to Vivienne instead. If the Inquisitor chooses to collect the heart of a snowy wyvern, continue north until entering the quest's marked area.
As there is a dragon in that same area, it is best to stay close to the northwestern edge and not run too far in the middle. In that way the player can also avoid both rifts in that area, and simply focus on killing the wyvern and then exiting the area again. The snowy wyvern is level 15. Pick up the Codex entry: Ghilan'nain's Grove and claim the landmark Broken Dog while on the way to the wyvern.
Upon returning to Skyhold, hand in the quest to Vivienne.
Results
Regardless of which type of heart is given to Vivienne, the player receives Hat of Majesty (unique headwear for Vivienne).
Also, regardless of which type of heart is used for the formula, the outcome of Vivienne using it is always the same.
Approval
If Vivienne receives a common wyvern heart, she will recognize that it was not the proper heart type and give a major disapproval. She will hastily end the quest and not engage in any further explanation nor give details about the quest background.
If she receives the proper snowy wyvern heart, she greatly approves it and will brief the Inquisitor later on about her lover Duke Bastien, whose illness was the reason Vivienne needed the heart and the alchemical mixture. The Inquisitor will be able to learn more about Vivienne as she speaks about her past, about arranging the funeral and notifying Bastien's family of his passing, but also about the future without the Duke.
