Background
Kaitlyn's little brother is hiding in the dresser in their home. You can try and talk him out of it.
If Wynne is in the party, she will order him to come out at once, and he will instantly obey her.
If Sten is in the party, he will suggest "burning him out", and Bevin will come out.
If questioned, Bevin will admit that he ran away from the Chantry and returned to his house to in order to retrieve his grandfather's sword, The Green Blade. His grandfather was a famous dragon hunter, and Bevin feels that if his father were still alive, he would have used the Green Blade to defend the village. Bevin wished to use the sword to defend the village too, but upon returning home, he realized that blade was still too large for him.

- You can intimidate, persuade or tell him that you will give his sister some money, and in return you get Bevin's Key . Bevin's Key can be used to unlock the chest upstairs, which contains the Green Blade.
- It is relatively easy to convince Bevin to give you his key if you praise his bravery.
Result
- Bevin returning to his sister Kaitlyn and Bevin's Key.
- If you return the sword at the end of the battle, the Epilogue will mention that Bevin went on to be a great adventurer, often telling of how his sword was used by the Hero of Ferelden to defend Redcliffe.
