Bellara Lutare is a Veil Jumper and companion in the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Background
Bellara is described as being plucky, hyper-focused, creative[1], and having an obsessive interest in ancient Elvhenan and its secrets. As well as being creative and romantic with a strong sense of self; having a clear idea of who she is and what she wants, she is willing to push herself to her limits in her pursuit of finding answers.[2]
Involvement
Dragon Age: The Veilguard
After interrupting Solas's ritual in Arlathan Forest and inadvertently trapping him within the Fade, Rook and their allies return to the forest to investigate. They are attacked by demons but rescued by Veil Jumpers Strife and Irelin who are searching for Bellara. With the help of Rook and their allies, they find Bellara in the forest and learn that they have entered a Veil Bubble and will need her assistance to escape. Bellara also notes that the presence of Darkspawn in the forest is highly unusual as the Deep Roads from which the Darkspawn emerge are not nearby. Bellara helps the group escape the Veil Bubble by locating and activating an artifact known as the Nadas Dirthalen (elvhen for "the inevitability of knowledge"). The activation reveals that a crystal within the artifact contains an Archive Spirit, but it is quickly destroyed. Rook, Bellara, and their allies choose to return to the Veil Jumper camp where Bellara endeavors to repair the Nadas Dirthalen.[3]
Notes
- Bellara's last name was misspelled during early marketing as Lutara instead of Lutare. It was later corrected by her writer, John Epler.[4]
