Banners is a collection in Dragon Age: Inquisition. The banner and banner crown selected by the Inquisitor will be disbursed across Skyhold and all locations unlocked by the Inquisition.

Collect all banner variations.

Acquisition

The collection triggers upon the Inquisitor's arrival at Skyhold.

Walkthrough

In order to complete the collection, 22 banners and banner crowns must be acquired. This includes 11 banners and their corresponding banner crowns.

Banners

Banner	Location
Andrastian Chantry	Acquired from Gordian's tower in the Eastern Ramparts located in the Exalted Plains; the tower also contains a shard.
Dalish	Located in a barrel in an empty shack close to the entrance of Argon's Lodge in the Emerald Graves.
Dwarven	Located in the tomb found in The Canyon section of the Hissing Wastes. Located in a container found in The Vaults of Valammar in the Hinterlands.
Ferelden	Located in the Grand Forest Villa in the Hinterlands.
Free Marches	Located on the second floor of MasterDennet's house in Redcliffe Farms in the Hinterlands.
Inquisition	Capture either Caer Bronach, Griffon Wing Keep, or Suledin Keep.
Circle of Magi	Located in the Upper Royal Wing of Redcliffe Castle during the main quest In Hushed Whispers. Sold by Skyhold Customization Merchant in Val Royeaux for 356 .
Orlais	Located in a small chest behind the Halla Door in the Guest Garden of the Winter Palace during the main quest Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. Note: Requires Deft Hands, Fine Tools Inquisition perk.
Templar	Located in a chest on the upper level of the Great Hall in Therinfal Redoubt during the main quest Champions of the Just. Sold by Skyhold Customization Merchant in Val Royeaux for 356 .
Tevinter Imperium	Located in a chest in a room on the left side of the main chamber of the Still Ruins in the Western Approach. Note: Requires Deft Hands, Fine Tools Inquisition perk.
Grey Warden	Located in a chest at the second siege point while rendezvousing with Hawke in Adamant Fortress during the main quest Here Lies the Abyss.
Frostback Basin	Acquired from the Special Shipments chest in the Undercroft of Skyhold with the installation of the Spoils of the Avvar DLC.
Par Vollen	Acquired from the Special Shipments chest in the Undercroft of Skyhold with the installation of the Spoils of the Qunari DLC.

Banner Crowns

Banner Crown	Location
Andrastian Chantry	Select the Chantry Garden major upgrade in Skyhold. Sold by Skyhold Customization Merchant in Val Royeaux for 356 .
Dalish	Complete the side quest For the Empire in the Exalted Plains.
Dwarven	Located in the tomb found in the Burial Grounds of the Hissing Wastes. Found in a room near the Behemoth located in Daerwin's Mouth on the Storm Coast.
Ferelden	Found in the Fisherman's Hut, just south of the astrarium located in the 'East Side Hills' section of Crestwood. Note: Acquired in The Flats region after the lake has been drained.
Free Marches	Found in the astrarium cave revealed on the Storm Coast.
Inquisition	Capture three Keeps: Caer Bronach, Griffon Wing Keep, and Suledin Keep. Note: Prior to the installation of patch 10 a few bugs have been reported with acquisition.
Circle of Magi	Choose the Mage Tower major upgrade in Skyhold. Sold by Skyhold Customization Merchant in Val Royeaux for 356 .
Orlais	Found in a safe in the vault of Villa Maurel located in the Emerald Graves during the side quest Safe Keeping.
Templar	Select the Templar Tower major upgrade in Skyhold. Sold by Skyhold Customization Merchant in Val Royeaux for 356 .
Tevinter Imperium	Looted from a chest found at a Tevinter Camp near a large rock just east of the Golden Oasis region, northeast of the Canyon Camp and southwest of the Statue Camp in the Hissing Wastes. Head towards the Canyon Camp from the Statue Camp and search for a small valley. Note: As the chest can be rather difficult to find, be on the lookout for a small camp with a Tevinter Banner.
Grey Warden	Located in a barrel on the cliff face close to Envers Mining Camp in the Forbidden Oasis; see Gallery below.

Notes

There are a total of 22 banners and crowns; however, with the addition of the Spoils of the Avvar and Spoils of the Qunari DLCs two additional banners can be found.
Note: The collection counter can include both DLC banners despite neither being part of the original 22. Hence the counter can reach a total 24.
With Patch 1.07, any banner pieces rendered otherwise unobtainable by the Inquisitor's choices can be purchased from the Skyhold Customization Merchant in Val Royeaux.

Bugs

A known bug prevented the Inquisition Banner Crown from being acquired; either due to prematurely collecting an item in the Storm Coast, or claiming keeps in the wrong order. This was partially rectified with Patch 1.07; however, with the installation of Patch 1.10 this bug was no longer a reported issue.
