Background

A small-time and relatively ethical smuggler in Kirkwall offering work for Ferelden refugees.

Involvement

At the end of the quest The Destruction of Lothering, she is one of the two factions Hawke can sign up with to get into Kirkwall, the other being Meeran and his mercenaries.

If Hawke signs up with her, the smugglers will benefit greatly from Hawke's help and will become the only rivals to the Coterie.

She later offers the quest Loose Ends. It is hinted that Hawke quit working for Athenril abruptly after the first year, as promised, but Athenril seems bitter to have lost Hawke's skills.

Afterwards, if you gave the goods to the child and told the truth to Athenril, she will later attack you at night in the red lantern district in revenge.

Let into Kirkwall and earned the Nefarious Achievement/Trophy

Siding with the mercenaries after taking her money will result in Athenril ambushing Hawke in Hightown.
