Armaas may be a reference to the Spanish word, "armas" meaning "arms" or "weaponry". This is probably due to his dealings as a merchant.

Armaas is a former Qunari merchant working in the Silverite Mines. He is a Tal'vashoth and blatantly self-centered, willing to form trading contracts with anyone, even darkspawn. He is offended if you call him a Qunari, and is proud of his abandonment of the Qun.

Involvement

Upon talking to the Warden, Armaas can be recruited to trade at Vigil's Keep, helping complete Trade Must Flow. Upon arrival at Vigil's Keep, Armaas can supply new items for sale at the other vendors.

Quotes

  • "The Qun is a lie!"

Bugs

  • It is impossible to recruit Armaas if the Silverite Mine is explored before talking to Mistress Woolsey. However, it is possible to start this quest by going to Amaranthine and talking to Wynne before ever talking to the Seneschal or the Mistress. The discussion options for Armaas will not be available if this happens, and it will be impossible to return to him later.
  • ps3ps3 In the purchase screen in the Silverite Mine Armaas's name is spelled "Armaas" not "Armass".
  • It is possible for him to appear at Vigil's Keep before you even head to the Silverite Mine. This does not affect the Trade Must Flow quest.
  • It is also possible that if you choose to kill Armaas in the Silverite Mine because of his deals with the darkspawn, he will still be in Vigil's Keep when you return later on despite never being asked to go there.

Trivia

Armaas may be a reference to the Spanish word, "armas" meaning "arms" or "weaponry". This is probably due to his dealings as a merchant.
