“My home is out here, in the forest with the trees and animals. I learned to listen to them, and they taught me well.”
Aneirin is an elven mage. He is a healer and a former apprentice of Wynne. He is the character the Warden will seek in the East Brecilian Forest for Wynne's personal quest, Wynne's Regret. Though he is not living with the Dalish, preferring living amidst the trees and the animals, he however is never far from their camp.
Background[]
Involvement[]
After Wynne tells the Warden the story of how she failed Aneirin, they can ask around the Dalish Camp for information about him and are told that Aneirin can be found in the East Brecilian Forest. When Wynne and Aneirin are reunited, she apologizes for being a poor mentor, but he reveals that he harbors no ill feelings towards hers, that it is the past and she should put it behind her as well. Aneirin came to accept his path as a solitary apostate since he believes he would not have fit in with the Circle's templars and its Chantry. Wynne tells Aneirin that Irving could find a way for him to come back to the Circle and that he could change the Circle for the better. Aneirin admits he really liked Irving and that maybe he would consider her offer, but he is unwilling to commit to her proposal for the time being. If the Warden is a mage, he also suggests that the Warden could be a good candidate to rebuild the Circle. He gives Wynne Aneirin's Token.
After Wynne's quest, he remains at his campfire in the Eastern Brecilian Forest. He explains that he doesn't feel like being part of the Circle or the Dalish, preferring to be alone in the forest. He can also heal the party's wounds.
