Before the fall of Arlathan, even before Arlathan itself, the civilization of the elves stretched across all of Thedas like a great, indolent cat. This armor was made for temple guards in a time when the Creators still spoke to the elves. | Ancient Elven Boots is found by asking Ser Bryant in the Lothering chantry "Is there any other assistance you can provide?". He will give you the key to the locked cabinet and you will find the boots there. They have also been found in Redcliffe and can be brought back by Dog.
* The boots are NOT always in the cabinet in the PC version. This is a known and confirmed bug with the developers.

| Ancient Elven Helmet is found in the Brecilian Forest. It is obtained by trading a book, the Dusk Ring or a scarf with the Mad Hermit. The book is obtained from the elves, the Dusk Ring from the haunted camp site in the forest and either the scarf which is obtained from the elven wife who was bitten by a werewolf or the aumulet you get in exchange for it from the elven hunter.
* It is still possible to complete the quest for the elven hunter without the scarf. But you cannot chose the dialog option mentioning it.
