An Unfamiliar Sense is a companion quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Acquisition[]

Speak with Harding at the Lighthouse.

Walkthrough[]

Harding wants to get better at using her strange new abilities and heads to Arlathan Forest for some much-needed practice.

Rook meets with Harding in Arlathan forest to practice her new stone magic. Her attitude differs depending on if Rook expressed positivity or weariness when first discussing her abilities after The Singing Blade.

Help Harding practice her ability[]

After some hesitation Harding manages to move some rocks, making it possible for the two of them to continue forward. During this Harding mumbles something cryptic she wasn't even really aware that she was saying but the two make their way along the path moving stones as needed.

While the two are climbing a cliff in the middle of a clearing they suddenly hear a cry for help.

Help the person in trouble[]

Continue to the top of the cliff and grab the chest there before pushing over a balancing beam. Cross it and jump down and release the ladder just to the right hand side as a short cut but don't climb down it. Instead, use the power crystal next to it to power up a bridge from the platform towards the north-east. Crossing the bridge takes you down a path to another clearing above which the injured Veil Jumper they heard calling out is trapped.

In the wester corner of the clearing is a ladder that can be accessed by breaking the lock with a ranged attack which leads to some treasure. Head back down into the clearing and use Harding's Stone sense to climb up the structure in the middle of the area and reach the man.

While speaking to the grateful Veil Jumper Harding stats hearing the disembodied voice of something called The Oracle addressing her as 'Sister' and telling her that they are both 'touched by the ancients'. The voice asks Harding to find them by looking for those 'closest to the Stone'. After this Harding and Rook helps the injured adventurer back to camp.

Results[]

Harding's Stone sense is still new and unfamiliar to her. She hopes to gain more experience with her gifts, and heads to Arlathan Forest for practice.

Harding hears a cry for help while on an excursion to Arlathan Forest, and rushes to the rescue.

After practicing her newfound gifts in Arlathan Forest, Harding has learned to call upon the ability reliably. While on her excursion, however, she was interrupted by a mysterious voice that one she could hear. The voice told Harding to seek out "those closest to the Stone" for the answers she seeks.
