Alarith is the only merchant in the Denerim Alienage.
Background[]
Alarith was a slave in the Tevinter Imperium before he fled with his family to Ferelden with a caravan. On the way, his parents and brother were killed during a bandit attack. Dalish elves drove the bandits away, and then scoured the caravan for loot, leaving Alarith's belongings alone when they saw he was a fellow elf. Alarith touts the Alienage as "everything that is worth fighting for" to a male Tabris during the City Elf Origin.
Involvement[]
During the City Elf Origin, Alarith will offer advice to a male Tabris if they visit him in his shop. During the Unrest in the Alienage quest, he will update the Warden on the present situation in the Alienage.
Unless the Warden is an elf, he will not trade goods until after the Unrest in the Alienage quest is completed and the elves are saved. If Caladrius took the elves with him or used them in the Blood Ritual, Alarith's shop will remain permanently inaccessible.
Trivia[]
- In the toolset, Alarith is described as the owner of a dry-goods shop and an occasional smuggler.
