A Vicious Thug is a side quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Documents found in Costeau's camp mention a commander for the Freemen named Duhaime. He is among his peers holding a deserted villa in the Emerald Graves.

Acquisition

Obtained by examining a document in the Veridium Mine during A Fallen Sister.

Walkthrough

Travel to the yard surrounding Villa Maurel and defeat Commander Duhaime; he can typically be found wandering near The Betrayer landmark.

Note: If Commander Duhaime is killed prior to finding the documents inside the Veridium Mine, the quest will simply complete once the documents have been examined.

Results

The Villa Maurel Key can be looted from Duhaime's remains allowing for entry to Villa Maurel and will initiate the side quest A Corrupt General

Bugs

If Duhaimeis is killed before entering the yard, the quest may fail to update properly, causing the quest marker to stay active on the map for the remainder of the game. However, this does not seem to have any detrimental effects on the quest chain itself.
