A Shroud over the Light is a side quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This quest is available only if Rook chose to save Treviso instead of Minrathous.
Acquisition[]
This quest is acquired by returning to Dock Town after the events of On Deadly Wings and killing the Venatori within the Shadow Dragons Safehouse.
Walkthrough[]
The Shadow Dragons' pawn shop has been destroyed, and the rebels are nowhere to be found. The team hurries to learn the fate of their allies.
Investigate the disappearance of the Shadow Dragons[]
Exit the Safehouse and search the pawn shop for clues. A note on the ground where Lorelei's counter used to be will point toward Hector, one of the guards from the Pawn Shop, fleeing to the docks.
Next, search the market area in Urthemiel Venue for another note hidden within a group of wooden barrels. This note is a notice that invites people to visit the dockside jail to see what happens to those who harbor any Shadow Dragons. Head down to the Smuggler's Docks and defeat the group of Venatori. Investigate Hector's body, then speak to the civilian that says that Lorelei was taken down to the docks.
Head to the Parthenius Main Docks and take down the Venatori barrier by shattering the crystals. Venatori cultists will attack as soon as one of the crystals breaks. Once the barrier is down, investigate the pile of corpses on the ground to discover Lorelei among them.

Results[]
The Venatori are branding the Shadow Dragons as traitors, then hunting them down and killing them in public displays. Hector and Lorelei fell victim to the cult.
