A Business Discussion is a main quest in Dragon Age II.
During this quest Varric and Hawke discuss their options for obtaining the location of a path into the The Deep Roads.
Acquisition
This quest becomes available after Hawke's first encounter with Varric.
Walkthrough
Travel to The Hanged Man, a pub in Lowtown, and speak with Varric. He will inform Hawke that they need a suitable entrance into The Deep Roads and that a Grey Warden might know of one. The quest is completed after the dialogue sequence ends.
Companion Reactions
Depending on the tone of your final dialogue choice Varric's approval will change as follows:
Cautious (top choice):
Varric: friendship (+5)
Charming/Humorous (middle choice):
- Varric: friendship (+15)
Aggressive (bottom choice):
Varric: rivalry (+15)
Result
Unlocks the main quest, Tranquility.
