I chose Alistair as a side piece since I was playing a female human noble. As an in depth player, I saw him as the best chance to get revenge on my family’s death. That all changed when I learned he was royalty. My character does love him but instead of just being Warden Commander, she used her noble status and royal blood to take the throne. Alistair is a war hero, he’s a people’s king, who better to rule from behind the scenes than the cunning roguish wife?
Queen Amelia the Clever
The true power behind Fereldan’s Throne?
Since Alistair killed Loghain in DA:O and took the throne, Stroud was always the Warden that would appear for me in Inquisition. I only knew Stroud from when he saved Hawke’s brother from dying from the Taint by making him a Warden so I would always sacrifice Stroud to fight the nightmare demon. I always believed that by keeping the wardens in Orlais that they would help fight Corypheus now that they had known that they had been tricked. I never expected in the epilogue to learn that Hawke made his way to the anderfels to confront the wardens directly.
My belief is that in some way he would work to establish a new better order of wardens alongside people like Carver, Thom Rainer, and any others that saw that the Grey Wardens needed to make a change and step into the light of a new world and the next age…
I wonder a lot about the first warden and question if after the civil war can you make people from previous games the First Warden.
I would love to see if I could make someone like Carver or Blackwall the leader of the Wardens!
I agree!
I would love to see the Qunari Wars in action!
The Arishok and his army with their raging Dreadnoughts blackening the seas!
A storm of swords that when all Stens and Karasaads unsheath their Assla's make it sound like a thunderbolt had struck the earth!
The mighty coalition of nations who fought till their dying breath to save themselves from the brink of extinction!!!
What an epic tale to tell!
My canon for my dragon age is the King Alistair with my Female Cousland rogue. Alistair has the bloodline yes but he is NO King. No stewardship or learning on noble affairs... Even in the Epilogue many see him as a People's King. King Alistair the Loved. As for me... My girl Amelia Cousland did what she add to do. Of course she was flirty to him, he had relations to the Arl of Redcliffe! A man who can assist my charcter in taking vengence on the arl of Amaranthine and reclaim my home. Until the end of the game when my brother was found i considered myself Teyrness of Highever. I increased points in cunning and worked my way up as a rogue but as soon as Alistair said he was a bastard... The game was set and I took my time. Queen Amelia is not some danty piece of eye candy. Amelia the wise; Amelia the clever could be seen as the power behind the crown and one wielding the throne.
Love, yes I did fall in love... But in one way or another I am reminded how Arl Howe wanted me to marry his son who was next in line, I don't want Amaranthine, I want it all...
You have a point there.
Cullen and Sera both marry you as they are so unsure of how the exalted council meetings will turn out.
Also yes Qunari do not marry but something simple mixed with custom could work. A gathering of friends and companions as you give the dragon tooth to your Kadan would be a beautiful ceremony.
Going on how dragon age and the game world as a whole has been I agree...
Perhaps a chance that nearing the start of the final act that you can marry your Romantic partner. Knowing certain doom was near!
Yes. To go further on that (though this is entering fanfic like territory)
If Leliana or Vivienne becomes the Divine-
There could be in question a set of side quests to reestablish ties between the Imperial Chantry and the Andrstrian Chantry...
Perhaps something like the dragon age origins side quest mail/courier service to help the libertarian mages of Lake calenhald to have independence. (Look up Mage's Collective)
If so it would have to be something small. Like you becoming a spy or accidentally finding information that could jeopardize this growing trust as the Developers told us we will be playing/starting off with no large power in anyway. In allies, no support, nothing...
By the endgame we could see conclusions such as:
Thedas wide Chantry Reunification
Both Divines contemplating an exalted march
One chantry blackmailing the other for secrets or change in law like brialla and gapsard.
I WOULD LOVE THIS!
As DA4 seems to be set in the north of Thedas, I would find it almost insulting if did not add it as a specialization. Up there as Dorian said in the imperium Blood magic is widely accepted as long as you're the one bleeding. It would also be an interesting way for us to tge North of Thedas is. Especially since the south maybe at that time is going under it's own religious chantry shift like the protestant reformation...
Problem is Martin Luther is the pope in that matter.
I disbanded it but since I am married to Cassandra I believe I will gain a powerholding in the new Seekers of Truth.
AND THE CHEESE!...TO DIE FOR...
I had my Inquisitor drink, not just for the value of its use in the Tresspasser DLC but also what I heard from some of the Devs. Its seems Mythal/Morrigans Mother had planned to pass on this immortal spirit and power to her daughter. And even though Solas took much of her power her spirit yet lingures. Thus comes the question, can the Inquisitor gain the embodiment of justice and fight Solas. Even if not, the knowledge gained from the well plus some successful missions in the Wycome-Dalish Clan missions now will allow me to have a place to spread the True History of The Elves and the Dangers/Folly of the Dread Wolf. Wisdom begats Pride.
First?

We don't know that much of Ashkaari Koslun and his background. Records of him if any are kept somewhere deep within the vaults of the Tammasarans and the Triumvirate. Recall he published this during a time when the Qunari were the Kossith. A race not of Ox Men but something completely different as explained by Iron Bull due to Breeding Control. I believe that Koslun may have been at one time real but like Poor Richards Almanac or the Dao De Jing is a byproduct of the Literary Critical Method: Basically many people may have held the title of Ashkaari and the Qun we perceive is the latest copy of these words of wisdom compiled OR at one point Koslun had published the Qun but throughout the ages more appropriate methods or writing styles were adapted to better interpret the Qun. The Qunari do not believe in a deity as we know but believe in the Qun and Society as it is outlined by the Qun. To be understand yourself is to understand the world. Yet How can the Words of Divinity be interpreted in Mortal Ways, unless they were first perverted by Mortal Hands?
Grey Wardens.
The man is old and would have died in Prison. Becoming a Grey Warden, at least he would spend the last of his days fighting the very beasts which forced him to massacre the people he swore to protect. Poetic Justice. Also I feel it would be better for the Grey Wardens to gain some troops now they are aligned with the Inquisition.
I always wonderes if the way you get into the city in the Prologue/Act 1 be it by the smugglers or the Mercenaries had an effect. Probably with the town guards as we saw Aveline was involved with you at the time. Not to mention Hawke does his best to remain careful and suppress using his powers within broad daylight in the public. Which makes things even more sad when you have Carver to either 1. die from the blight, 2. become a grey warden, or 3. become a templar.
1. To have all that power and yet you are unable to prevent such suffering.
2. To be forced to give away your only brother to save his life.
Or
3. To watch as you own kin isolates himself and turns against you in hopes to bring some fracture of coin to bring your family out of poverty and Hawke out of the mages prison.
Dragons blood, like the power of the taint & blood magic will remain more or less a mystery in Dragon age. In certain circumstances perhaps frankly I don't know. Thats up to the creators of the franchise.
i always believed it was dragon blood. Diluted Dragons blood of reaver descendants are more common than expected as dragon slayers usually gain titles and land like the Pentaghasts.
Cassandra talks about it being prone to madness if you become a reaver.
