Ferelden. I would say Tevinter, Nevarra, Anderfels and Rivain catch my interest but until I actually see them I can't give a real opinion. Orlais I despise may it rot away. The Free Marches doesn't count it's not a single nation it's a butch of petty city-states that bicker and fight each other all the while most of them have corrupt leaderships...They're many nations and the majority of them are seemingly pathetic. I despise the Qun so Seheron and Par Vollen would probably really suck for me. Antiva sounds lovely and deadly in equal measure I'd need to see it but right now neutral. If Orzammar counts it's shitty morally corrupt I hope it falls. Kal-Sharok no opinion besides I think they're more honorable.
I think he changed yes but it's been 11 years since Origins and in that time he's taken ownership of Redcliffe it was taken over by Venatori and Rebel Mages, The Kingdom's Monarch's actively refuse to create a Stable Dynasty. Eamon is more than likely dead of old age. Then he tasked with defending the Realm's Interests at the summit. So yeah he's changed like anyone would when given new responsibilities and living through really difficult times.
@Zehnwaters16 You can manually edit the default characters into yours. You can unlock the achievements too. If it's in-game choices you gotta put them in yourself.
@ToshiNama I stated the Tevinters do more Harm than Good by some people's perspective that would make them Evil. Like mine for instance I just recognize they do little bits of good here and there like defending Thedas against the Qun. But this isn't about Tevinter this post is about Orlais.
Orlesian Empire: Acts of Genocide, Imperialistic seeking to outright destroy peaceful cultures, The Game making a mockery of murder, rape and theft for amusement.
They fit into malevolence and corruption nicely. Morality isn't based on what your enemies do it's based on what YOU do. Based solely on what the Orlesians have done in the name of their nation it's Evil in my eyes...Or at least corrupt beyond redemption.
But if you want my POV on the others. Tevinter More Harm than Good, Elvhen Empire Pure Evil, Dwarven Empire More Harm than Good.

@Riverdaleswhiteflash Yeah that's my thoughts as well. If they wanted to destroy/conquer them they could of done it sooner than the events at Red Crossing. Instead it seems like they were constantly being provoked by the Elves until a massacre forced them to reply with force.
@Mrhawkprime I never confused the two. My comment clearly states Drakon I sentiments and why he WOULDN'T seek to conquer the Dales or try to forcefully convert them.
@Buckeldemon Because Drakon I wanted to unite HUMANITY under a single banner not the entire world. Otherwise he would of lead campaigns towards Tevinter and the Dwarves and the Dales would have fallen far sooner. Also yeah like Zehnwaters16 said too.
@Zehnwaters16 What about Pre-star crossed lovers/Red Crossing and Pre-Montsimmard? I'm asking if the Chantry and Orlais would always of sought to destroy the Dales.

@MaxCaulfield If your post is directed at me I've already said I agree to disagree meaning I shall not be debating with you on this topic further. If not towards me nevermind.
@Buckeldemon We finally agree on something. Is it Opposite Day? Anyways yeah this is something I just can't see from a grey or neutral point of view.
@MaxCaulfield I shall try to prevent the Massacre of Innocents by getting this Massacring Innocents Myself! WOW sound logic that's completely rational and in no way corrupt!
It does fucking matter if they're a Non-Combatant or Child! To say otherwise is immoral. The Majority of Mage children don't know how to kill someone with magic or summon a Demon in order to be a threat! Connor was a separate unique matter and the blame for that lies on Jowan and Isolde so don't even go there.
You're advocating for the death of innocents when you advocate for the Right of Annulment. Nothing is going to change my mind about this either. So I agree to disagree.
@Zehnwaters16 "The player is always implied to be infinitely more skilled than NPCs." That's an excuse. They had a way of knowing DO their fucking jobs and fight in there. The majority of the survivors weren't even far away or deep into enemy territory!
The Templars didn't even TRY they ran at the sight of the Abominations instead of doing their job fighting back like they should. The Kinloch Hold Templars were Cowardly and Weak. Their ineffectiveness is also partly WHY the Circle fell they couldn't figure out Uldred or stop his Cult!
You can easily tell who's Possessed, What's an Abomination and What's a Demon. They're literally TRAINED to figure it out too!
All I'm seeing so far is excuses for their failure. Not any form of justification for their actions.
Old Crestwood the Mayor TOLD us the Majority or ALL of the Villagers had the Blight Sickness. Because once again you CAN tell who's sick and who's not it's a physical ailment you can witness. The Mayor didn't lie but he also still committed murder the course of action for a plague is quarantine letting the people die in their homes at worst. NOT drowning them all alive. But given I understand why he did what he did I gave him to the Wardens to find some measure of redemption (Given he'd already suffered with guilt for so long).
Anyway they're NOT parallel events. The Blight and Demons don't work the same similar but not the same.
How do you prove anyone is guilty? You find fucking evidence if they're a Blood Mage then evidence they studied Blood Magic or used it. Same for any crime. If you CAN'T prove anything you let them go as you would any suspect. They deserve the same rights as anyone else when it comes to justice. They're NOT guilty just for being in proximity or being a magic user! If they're still suspected of foul play WATCH them closely you know the job Seekers and Templars are SUPPOSE to do! Restrict them to the confines of the Tower which is already seemingly the rule. Move them to another Tower if they can't be trusted in the current one.
Also anyone remember there's a Mage Prison named Aeonar somewhere in Ferelden? Where in said prison they can find out who's a Blood Mage or communicating with Demons.
There's so many options besides Mass Murdering every SINGLE person in a Tower including CHILDREN!
The Right of Annulment is Inherently Evil because it REFUSES to acknowledge even the possibility of Innocence or Trial! That IS Immoral. It should NOT be a Law.
@Zehnwaters16 Wilhelm (Shale's Owner), The Mages Collective, Apostates like Morrigan and Flemeth, Dalish Keepers, Tal-Vashoth Mercenary Mages, Vivienne leaving the Circle constantly. Southern Mages are NOT only in Circles!
@Zehnwaters16 Tell that to the children, Petra, Wynne, Irving! Sorry your lives are worthless because of Uldred. Because the Templars are going to enforce a law that MURDER INNOCENTS alongside the guilty INSTEAD of just killing the guilty like the Warden and Co DID!
If the player could do it WITHOUT murdering Innocents...Doesn't that tell us the system is flawed or outright broken that it needs a stranger to SAVE lives?! It's hardly a defense for the Templars or Annulment and more an argument AGAINST them.
Meredith was a Knight-Commander and could legally call for the Right of Annulment her sanity doesn't really address the issue of it's use.
@Zehnwaters16 SOME (like Kinloch) or ONE (Like Gallows) are. Meaning ALL must die? Nope fuck that logic.
Survival ISN'T a legal right it's just human nature. The government can't protect you from everything that threatens your existence or everything that makes you scared. It's literally impossible.
Really? I didn't see Meredith have any hesitation or go through a review board. BS that they have a system all they need is ONE person whether Grand Cleric or Knight-Commander to decide on their whim. That's not a system when the fates of many relies on one or two that's in government what's considered a dictatorship.
IN PRACTICE is ALL that matters. We're not talking hypothetically we're talking about the morality of the Right of Annulment something that HAPPENS in Thedas. 17 TIMES!
Police DO NOT have the right to kill indiscriminately or target innocents along with the guilty based on a single characteristic they show. So if Templars are meant to be Police then they SHOULD NOT ever make use of the Right of Annulment.
@Zehnwaters16 They MURDER Innocents (children, elders, non-combatants) during it. That isn't a right in any form. The Law SHOULD NOT allow for any form of government to legally execute a massacre of their own civilians (Which the Mages ARE Chantry and State Citizens MEANT to be Protected by the Order).
Also yes the Law literally states nothing in regards to Innocents they're counted among the guilty because of proximity and identity. Yes individual Templars can make exceptions and find loopholes but that's working AROUND the law not for it.
