My warrior (sword and shield) Hawke duelled him without much hassle. It was a tough fight yeah, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I’ve had more stress fighting drowners in Witcher 3
I’d say pick your companions based on what you’d inquisitor’s beliefs are. My characters run with companions they can get along with (or in 2 if I know I’ll easily rival someone I just do that) and I don’t have any issues with it. You’re the tank, so you don’t need to worry about that, so pick your favourites and see how well that works. You can always change later
^^I don’t know if I’ll get it, and if I do, I’ll probably end up spending the whole time messing around with mates and being killed by 12 year olds, which I don’t even mind so long as I can enjoy the game with my mates
Doubt I’ll get overwatch 2. Played the first but fell out of love with it.
Looking forward to getting Fallen Order and Modern Warfare though
I actually really love the scene where Morrigan proposes the Dark Ritual to a Warden she romanced. In my ‘perfect’ world state, I romanced her but declined the ritual, so Kieran would be a normal kid and it was really nice how upset and angry she got, because she really cared about the warden. I romance leliana more (and I love her romance) because I make ‘good’ decisions but Morrigans romance is probably my favourite in the series.
In 2, I find the Merrill romance really sweet.
Inquisition has my least favourite romances. That said, the second time I did the poetry scene with Cass I liked it, particularly because my Inky was an Andrastian Vashoth reaper
Male, because I am male. I just can’t play as a female, I can’t get into the mindset
^Literally playing Wild Hunt now
^True. As I’ve said, I can’t be bothered to write out my thoughts on the movie, I’ve done it too many times on the Wook, so if you really want you can read them there, it’s got a good range of opinions not just regarding TLJ, but most things star wars
Oh the joy. They had 3 years to make 2 and Inquisition and sure, both games had issues, but they were still good. 2, while the worst in the series, is still a great game (and I personally enjoy the combat- Inquisitions pace with Origins tactics). I get BioWare has been under stress, with changes in leadership and anthems ‘problematic’ launch, but all this really confirms is what we already expected- that we still have to wait at least another 2/3 years before we get anything
^I have my issues with TLJ (I’ve wrote them out so many times on wookiepedia if you wanna read them, just look on there) but retroactively it wasn’t as bad as I remember it.
I like to sum it up with this:
Johnson made a good movie, but a bad sequel to TFA
^Yep, happy Halloween y’all 👻👻
That said, not really one for Halloween anymore. Was as a kid, but it just doesn’t appeal anymore. Only two things of importance left this year: the rugby World Cup final and Rise of Skywalker
Two-handed warrior specced in a way that gives them access to ‘unconventional magic’ (like berserker rage, Templars in DAI or spirit warrior) and that they have high armour to withstand heavy blows
I would recommend Star Wars to anyone and everyone who hasn’t watched it. I’ll admit I’m incredibly biased, since I was too young to remember when I first watched the first Star Wars movie, it’s just etched onto my brain as part of my childhood memories.
Game of Thrones was good. Then S7 came out.
Westworld is brilliant, and the first season especially is incredibly clever with its narrative.
^Dogs is the one thing I regret killing, maybe a deer in red dead when I have to stab it to finish it, but killing dogs does make me sad.
^^Why would I buy it when I can get it and experience for free? I only buy it if I need a load of it and don’t have any, I’ll go the Black Emporium and get materials, but I’d prefer to not spend the gold
^I agree it’s not easy... in the real world, which a video game is not. Maybe it’s just me and my reasons for playing video games, which for the escapism from the real world, but they aren’t the same and if I need to craft something or something attacks me (in a game) it’s dying
Personally I don’t have an issue killing the animals. They’re not real, they’re only made of pixels and are a source of crafting materials I need. I know in real life I don’t the means, ability or desire to kill anything, and I can separate the game from reality enough to not feel guilt. The only time I might feel slightly bad is in Red Dead (which has a detailed hunting system) or Skyrim when I kill defenceless and non-hostile animals. Killing things like bears is no problem, since it attacks you
Revan or Hawke. Geralt’s a close second but I haven’t played enough of Witcher 3 yet, and he’s technically a book character first and foremost
^Yeah, electronics get hot if you use them for a long time. It’s wasted energy, but it can’t be helped
My favourite should be obvious...
Hawke has personality. No matter how you play him (I’ll use him since I’m Male and so is canon Hawke) he has some personality traits that are part of him. We see his story and that he has a family we can talk to for a half-hour-most Origin that makes him more of a character in the franchise than the Warden or the Inquisitor, who are the player putting themselves into the game through them. If DA2 had more time and been done right, it could have made Hawke a much better character, look at how popular game characters like Geralt and Arthur Morgan are. Hawke could’ve been that if DA2 hadn’t been rushed
^^I’m an Xbox player, and I have my reasons for it, but PS4 has many advantages over Xbox 1. Namely God of War and Spider-Man. I wouldn’t say get a console just for a single game, unless you’re rich and can afford it. I genuinely considered buying an old PS4 for Spider-Man but decided against since I’d have that and God of War and not much else. Personally I much much prefer the Xbox controller, never liked the PS one
