I really can't wait for them to have some sort of storyline where we finally figure out if the Maker exists and is actually who the Chantry say he is, or for there to be some massive twist like he's the bad guy or something

My canon Warden was a Dalish Elf who romanced Morrigan, so I'm kinda happy how his story is being tied into the next two games. First we have Witch Hunt which involves returning back to the cave that started everything, and then possibly following Morrigan into another eluvian to raise your child together. Then we have Merrill and the Sabrae clan appearing in DA2, the fact that Merrill's whole storyline is to try and fix the eluvian that tainted Tamlen and Mahariel. And even in DAI where Kieran can possibly give his Old God Soul to Flemeth (Mythal) (which I can imagine my Warden would flip out at when he finds out lol)
My canon Hawke is also a Mage so she always dies in Lothering for me too, Although if I ever made a non-mage Hawke I'd probably send her to the Circle. My canon Hawke also sided with the Templars at the end as well and not even for the reasons of 'I just wanted an evil Hawke'. In my head canon my Hawke is very neutral right up until the last second of the game, he never really favours either side and thinks that both Orsino and Meredith are a bit insane. Its not until after Leandra's death that he begins to question everything and starts to agree with the Templars more. I also prefer the Templar ending a bit more due to the fact that he becomes Viscount and paired with the fact that in my canon DAI playthrough I side with the mages, which is all the more reason for Hawke to flee Kirkwall due to the Red Templars.

I always make Carver a Templar in my mage playthroughs and my head canon is that Carver helps divert the Templars attention away from Hawke for as long as he can, so that along with Aveline preventing the guard from investigating too much AND the people the mercenaries/smugglers pay off I feel like my Hawke is pretty well protected. Plus I feel that Hawke's newly gained nobility status in Act 2 is another factor that prevents Templars from taking anything further
