I have been playing the game since 2015

And I keep coming back to the game.

It is a beautiful game with a great story.

And every time I try something new and pass on the saves to the sequel games or change it in the keep to get new dialogues and new options,

Many characters are extremely well written including Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana, and yes, Cully Wully

And mass effect has very much the renegade and paragon options and let's be honest... that makes the game "easier to be renegade or huge paragon"

But dragon age origin is different.

Are there choices that you sometimes don't make because it goes against your own moral compass or do you...?

I currently play Mager and normally I like to be Surana.

Because the elf and mage dialogues and the fact that she is an unwritten book

Which you can fill in yourself...

Now I choose Amell... Never done that...

The choices I make go against my own moral compass.. for example,

I betray Jowan..

She is still Naive... And trusts Irving...

She actually wants to help Jowan...

But Irving has his own agenda and in the end

and My Mage goes along with Duncan against her wishes...

And yes I know Jowan.. is not innocent..

in fact he was not exactly a friend,

I doubt a bit whether he was ever really in love with Lilly...

I know he became a bloodmage because he was jealous of the warden and because she/ he is a star pupil of irving and more powerful..

I also want to believe in Jowan's sincerity and his love for Lilly..

Still, I think he also used her to escape...

But I think that's how we fill in the story...

Let's be honest

LIlly is ultimately the only one who is screwed...

But there is no option to save her... and it doesn't matter what choice you make. Unfortunately.

And later I choose the Templars because of Cullen

Because my warden was also in love with Cullen, it was forbidden... it was never discussed with each other...

Yet she has a soft spot for him, and to see him so traumatized...

It Breaks her heart... Is that the path I would normally take?

No... quite a wrong choice to do it this way...

Still, I'm going to do it... also because I never did that.

(I take the preferable option so don't let all the mages die but I put them under supervision that is the third option)

I also let Isolde sacrifice her myself...

I don't know how to score points with Alistair with that option..

Well I'll buy him a present at Bodahn Feddic...(so wrong)

But again I never done that before, it makes me curious. What I think is extremely important is that Conner Continues to live...

(AND you have no choice if you choose Templars)

But just before the urn of ashes starts...

I will release Jowan...After he did the ritual

That is apparently possibility but you need a Bug fix mod...

Let's be honest, all the characters are so very young in the game... that sometimes I think...

That responsibility...

TO actually have to make those choices...

This time I also choose the Dalish elves and not the werewolves...

While when I experience the story like this every time,

i always tend to choose the werewolves...

The story touches me... I also know that it doesn't have much impact in the end... in the sequel games... so I choose this choice now..

I also choose King Bhelen.. and I keep the Anvil intact..

I myself think that despite everything and also because he is a tyrant...

let's be honest...

Bhelen is the better king for Ozemmar...

Yet I notice when I make that choice and he says that Pyral Harrowmont is going to be executed...

It feels very bad... and wrong...

And Yes the Anvil will stay intact

Seems quite useful to me..

I also know that it would be abused of course...

And would yet create victims...

(But I know from the epilogue that branka.. ends everything in the end. like Caridin' did... who knows in the future...you never know

I am a real Alistair Lover so I go for that Romance....

Normally I would be a man and go for Morrigan,

But I love the dynamics between mages and templars.

I also think that Cullens Love FOR YOU

And how he speaks (about only the Amell mage in Dragon age 2) As an Extra bonus

( I think Cullen is very well written, you really see his growth through the games and the conflict he has.)

I also become a blood mage...

(without sacrificing Conner...)

BUT iam gonna use the intimidation option...

Because my warde

(even though we don't see anything about it)

My warden Believes that she can help Alistair and herself in the future...With having that kind of magic

(I got the idea from the wardens keep)

Also Solas talks about blood magic in dragon age Inq as not necessarily bad....

In previous games I would have made Alistair King and put Loghain on my team...

I'm not doing that now,

I'm letting Alistair to be a Warden

So bye bye Loghain..What I also think is a shame,

I think Morrigan's dialogue dynamics and Whyne are greatI With him

Also plan to make Leliana harder...

And I'm going to try... to poison the ashes...😅

Never done it but I'm curious..

And maybe you have more ideas that could be extreme... But worth it?

Origins Ending Spoilers

In the Epilogue, Anora became Queen alone and mentioned that Alistair had made the final sacrifice.

In the playthrough, I had hardened Alistair, and romanced him, but later broke off the relationship. I also persuaded Anora and Alistair to marry and rule together. Then I recruited Loghain and had Alistair step aside to become King. The description for completing the Landsmeet reflected my choices. I even went through with Morrigan’s Ritual with Loghain. But in the Coronation Scene, it was just Anora alone, and when she spoke to me, she acted as if Alistair was dead. After the cutscene, Alistair is in fact standing there (all butthurt cause I picked Loghain over him) and I can talk to him. But I’m still confused as to why the cutscenes in the Epilogue act as if he died?

If Alistair is Hawke’s Warden Ally his dialogue seems rather resentful to a non-romanced Warden who performed the Dark Ritual. It just kinda sucks how Alistair went from being my Warden’s best friend to being hostile enough to warn the Inquisitor away from them. I loved the friendship you could build with Al in Origins and the fact that the only way to preserve that friendship is to either romance him or die an otherwise avoidable death.

I get that Alistair hates blood magic and the Dark Ritual involved some form of blood magic or forbidden magic but doesn’t he try to stand up for the Grey Wardens using blood magic in Here Lies The Abyss when Hawke is condemning them? Why is it one rule for the Warden and another for the whole order? Or is it just bad writing?

All I know is that I hate how an awesome friendship was so easily and stupidly ruined by just one writer who decided to write the words “I wouldn’t count on them, they walk a dark path”.

However, I do like the encounter between him, Morrigan and the Warden’s son, Kieran. And the fact that Alistair tried to find the HoF, despite saying they’re unreliable and on a dark path.

Judging by the “you are the senior surviving Grey Warden what do we do?” I would assume that, if they survive, Alistair/Loghain/Stroud succeeds Clarel which would be cool as fuck for different reasons for each Warden Ally. But I honestly don’t know if the Ally becomes Commander if they survive - is it ever said in game or has it ever been confirmed elsewhere? I was just wondering due to a little story I’m writing at the moment.

I'am trying to Hardener Alistair but o don't know exactly what to do with him to this happen, someone can help please ?

Hello everyone, good Day, Night or Afternoon, i was trying to do my History in DA Keep, but my Warden is Alive and i Can't make he still Alive even after say that i have done the ritual with Morrigan and slayed the Archdemon, and Alistair is King with Anora, How can i do this Work please ?

Okay, so it’s no secret that Alistair is basically just King Arthur from Arthurian legend and Morrigan is Morgan La Fey (also known as Morgana or even Morrigan in certain versions), in classic legend these two make love and produce a child - Mordred who grows up and kills King Arthur for whatever reason but whatever the version of the story, Mordred always grows up to be the man who kills Arthur. See where I’m going with this? In the DA series we have an Arthur and a Morgan who come together for some reason to create an unnatural offspring.

My theory is that Kieran, for whatever reason, will grow up and try to kill his father, maybe he’ll succeed or maybe he won’t but I do believe he will try to take the life of his parent either for power of the throne or maybe just out of hatred that he didn’t even try to find him despite the fact that Kieran is his son. This theory obviously works best with King Alistair but you get what I mean. I also think this would only work with Dark Ritual Kieran as normal baby Kieran either has a dead dad or a father who he grew up with so no real hatred could be found there (unless the Warden sucked at being a papa).

Also, a little side note - Arthur and Morgan are nearly always half-siblings in every single rendition of this tale so there’s something for the folk who believe Morrigan is Maric’s child (although I personally never understood the theory).

Don’t take this theory too seriously, I’m just brainstorming for fun at the moment, it’s not even a theory I 100% believe in and there are plenty of flaws in it - for example, in exceptionally early renditions of the Arthurian legends, Mordred is known as Modredus and isn’t even Arthur’s son but rather his scornful traitor nephew.

TL;DR - Kieran represents Mordred from Arthurian tales and will grow up to kill his father.

There's one I loved, but on new PC and didn't have it backed up on my NAS (all the rest are) 🙄

Something that has been bugging me, ever since my first ever playthrough of Origins back in 2010, is that no matter who you chose to rule Ferelden, there is no fucking heir to the Throne. I’d chose Alistair but, even with Kieran, he has no true offspring with a legitimate claim to the throne. If you chose Anora then she’s almost fourty in Inquisition and she’s getting rather old to have children. If a male Cousland marries Anora and has Kieran with Morrigan, Ferelden still has no heir because Cousland is not King, he’s a Prince-Consort so his children have no claim to the throne.

So, if King Alistair or Queen Anora were to suddenly die, who would become the next monarch of Ferelden? I was thinking Teagan or Eamon but they’re starting to get old af these days. Teyrn Fergus Cousland could work but he also has no heir and if I’m honest, I don’t think he’ll ever have kids again after losing his wife and son. If people were cooler with Mages in power at some point in the future, Connor could work but he can die or he can still be possessed and wreaking havoc. Kieran is pretty much outed due to the fact that there is literally no proof of any familial ties to Alistair, also Morrigan would never let Kieran be placed on a throne. Also, also, if that wasn’t worse enough, we can safely assume that Kieran is a Mage so... that wouldn’t work so well. So who do we think would be next in line for the throne?
