So I am curious what moment or moments with your LI was the heartwarming or the most romantic, for you guys.
Personally, it has to be with Zevran when he wants to give you for the second time his earring and the talk about it.
Warden : ''That sounds like a proposal''
Zevran : ''Not unless you wish it''
When Alistair gives the warden the rose that he found in Lothering and how he talks about how it reminded him of the warden (however that Zevran moment is great also)
For me it's the Cassandra romance scene in Inquisition where you read her poetry, The candles, the playful teasing from both of them, the way the inquisitor circles around her as she's reading, for me out of all the romance scenes it's the one that feels the most like these are 2 people in love
This banter conversation between Merrill and Aveline:
Aveline: I didn't expect you to stick around for this mess Merrill. This has nothing to do with your elves.
Merrill: I love Hawke, I wouldn't go anywhere.
Aveline: But it's not your fight.
Merrill: I love Hawke.
Aveline: You said that.
Merrill: I say it a lot. It makes things clearer, takes away doubt when everything is crazy and people are dying.
Aveline: I understand.
Merrill: Oh, good. Someone should.
"Ten years, a hundred years from now..."
^Gonna need more context than that. I assume it's something Anders said?
DAO: The rose, clearly. The dialogue is simply marvellous.
DAII: Fenris waits for Hawke at their house and they talk and they kiss and all the beautiful things he say to Hawke in that moment. I think it's the scene of their their first night together.
DAI: the talk between The inquisitor and Cullen after their night together in Cullen's bed...ohh gosh, the way he looks at her, their foreheads together. The: I love you, and I love you too. Really, no matter how many times I see that, I fell in love each time. Special mention to the hug in the chapel at Skyhold before the final battel and the dialogue. What can I say, Cullen's been my favourite romance so far.
^Agreed with all of that!
In addition, Alistair refusing to let the woman he loves die killing the Archdemon (even if they're broken up!)
And in Trespasser, Cullen and the Inquisitor's wedding and the scene where they realize the Anchor is going to kill the Inquisitor soon and Cullen just embraces her. 😭
I completly forgot about the sacrifice of Alistair! Those lines were especially touching to me :
Warden : ''Wait, this is crazy
Alistair : ''Sanest thing I've ever done''
And then they share their last kiss 😢
Getting morrigans ring implications.
Banter between Alistair and Oghren when you romance Alistair.
Oghren: So what did you do with her legs?
Alistair: What? Whose legs?
Oghren: You know who's.
Oghren: Dwarf ladies legs aren't even an accessory. They just get in the way.
Oghren: So what did you do with her legs?
Alistair: I'm... well... um...
Oghren: Got them out of the way and got right to business?
Oghren: Good for you, son.
(Proof that Oghren is a ladykiller)
Most might thing DAII when I mention Anders... but this one (despite the lack of romance) is a good one from Awakening
Anders: The last time I escaped they put me in the Black Cells for a year.
Anders: The only thing down there was this mouser.
Anders: Eventually, it got turned into a demon. Even killed a Templar.
Anders: The only thing I miss from the tower is that cat.
(Proof that Anders is a Cat Lady)
I will fully admit that I cringed my way through the Dorian romance. Yes yes yes, revile me for not being able to watch a man/man relationship, but I will give Dorian full recognition on being a charming, suave devil.
It was less painful that watching Cassandra fumble being romantic and that Marker-awful shot in her nighties. That was just gizzard-upchucking.
(Proof that, yes, I am quite likely an asshole)
But despite the sweetness of Cullen, the smoothness of both Liars (Blackwall and Solas)… Iron Bull was my favorite.
Seriously, who else gets away with slapping the Inquisitor on the ass with a smile and a wink and totally walks away with that will like a pro? And the bedroom scene (with intrusions) is utterly classic and hysterical. Hell, he even teaches the Inquisitor SAFE WORDS!
Fifty Shades of Grey by Iron Bull.
What do you think?
