There's an article on IGN that quotes an ever-reliable analyst regarding a possible release date for DA4. We probably won't return to Thedas until mid- to late-2022. I was honestly hoping for a 2021 release. Thoughts?
Just when I was contemplating starting a thread about DA4 news! I mean, the last bits of news that we've had came almost a year ago, and that was more like a "Hey, it's official - DA4 exists!" announcement with little else attached to it.
I'm not sure if this was how I wanted the 10-year anniversary of DAO's release to go...
^^ Why so cruel? My guess is that we are a year away from the release of The Winds of Winter. Sure, I've been saying this for 4 years... but this time I'm optimistic! 😭
Anyway, this news does not surprise me. When they said that development had restarted, I knew the game would not come out before the end of 2021. Waiting is something I'm used to, it's not a problem. I just hope the final product makes it worth it.
Oh the joy. They had 3 years to make 2 and Inquisition and sure, both games had issues, but they were still good. 2, while the worst in the series, is still a great game (and I personally enjoy the combat- Inquisitions pace with Origins tactics). I get BioWare has been under stress, with changes in leadership and anthems ‘problematic’ launch, but all this really confirms is what we already expected- that we still have to wait at least another 2/3 years before we get anything
