Anders *was* (more-or-less) suppose to die if you send him to defend Vigil's Keep despite all the pretty enhancements... and the person that was to accept Justice was Velanna.

Honestly, as much as I didn't like Velanna or Vivianne (Velly was so blind to her own flaws that its was amazing she didn't trip over rocks, and Vivi might as well introduce herself as 'Magister de Fer'), they were solid characters. I absolutely *hated* making Vivi the Divine... but it was in exact alignment to her character and personality, so it was good writing. On the other hand, I'd wield the Tranquil brand myself and do it three times just to make sure it worked.

A part of me thinks Velanna or the Dalish might be an option coming for DA4 thanks to a quick look at the 'Keeper' page for the DA Wikia.

Yes, Keepers have all the secrets and goodies. Their Firsts are elvish princesses, they break that really big Chantry rule (serve, not rule), and are the elvish versions of nice Tevinter Magisters...

...and they protect their fucking Clans from the Dread Wolf.

I know we all got that message in Trespasser; Chuckles be up to something rotten in the State of Thedas. Elves are flocking to the banners of Fen'Harel, finally having someone kick some human ass for millennia of elvish oppression.

But the so-called 'slaves' of the Creators might have a thing or two to point out for Solas. And by point, I mean arrowpoints.

The Dalish have never forgotten (nor forgiven) Fen'Harel his betrayal in exiling their Gods (or really powerful Elvish mages) from the physical plane, banishing them to where they were nothing but distant memory. Despite being enslaved, conquered, kicked out, marched upon, forced to wander, forgotten most everything, and treated like heretics, there is probably one thing in the entire world that the Dalish hate worse than Humans in general, and Tevinter specifically.

The one who betrayed them all to that fate, the Dread Wolf.

I know I would love to see a Dalish Elf stick a Dar'missan sword into someplace anatomical into Solas considering my first playthrough was with a Dalish Huntress with a perchance for bows and assassinations getting real sweet with a bald elf. I even gave up my vallaslin for that prig.

Having her in DA2 would have called for a different story focusing more an elf-human realtions instead of circle mages vs. (insane) templar (commanders).

I don't know if it is a perfect fit, but calling Viv a "hate sink" is pretty spot-on. I guess she's on par with a certain Senior Undersecretary Dolores Jane Umbridge. Too bad DA does not have centaurs, but In my mind, it would not be too much of a stretch to assume Murder!Pope (or Renegade Leliana or MurderKnifeLeliana) would have Vivvy stabbed rather quickly. :P

Well, we had half of a game focusing on elven lore and suddenly eveyone wants o focus on the Chantry again. Even if the other half of DAI, most of DA2 and some parts of DAO (The Urn...) already dealt with human/Chantry issues.

No Dalish I ever played did that. Also, the "serve" part is taken extremely literally... as in "make stuff for the guys bossing you around".

Yeah, that is a major obstacle for the bald one. I doubt that he would tell them. He's probably more likely to spread rumors about some "payday" and sending agents, without giving a hint on who's the real leader.

I'm not quite sure how serious you are, but it is nice to see someone approaching the Solas issue from the Dalish point-of-view.

My arm-less Lavellan has a multi-stage plan. First, trying to talk some sense into him and telling him how much he of a bad potential BF he is. If that does not work, beat sense into him (Well, it worked on another bald old elf). If that fails, kill him. In any case, grabbing whatever resources and contacts he has established and use those to make the Chantry, Qun and Magisterium destroy each other. *Mwahahaha*

Honestly, if they had a Dalish elf who couldn't die in any scenario, I'd love to see them as sleeper agents inside of Solas's organization. I feel like they'd be the perfect allies to start with in the game.

^Well, there is that tribe we meet in the Exalted Plains, but they aren't major characters...or even minor characters really. More like micro characters.

^^^I seriously doubt Solas has told anyone else who he really is. That would be incredibly stupid of him.

There's also Lia from DA2, the elven girl captured by a serial killer (Kelder) who claimed that demons in his head would tell him to kill elven girls. If you kill Kelder, she starts training to become a city guard. I wonder where would she go after Kirkwall went to shit. Either way, she survives a traumatic experience and wants to become stronger after that - that's a nice character arc.

Slim Couldry - the fat, elf blooded criminal from Denerim. He's like a sort of Robin Hood, in which he only steals from nobles. Actually, he doesn't steal anything, he's a fencer and he also sells informations on profitable stealing marks. He kinda acts like a Friend of Red Jenny, but he never claims to be one. Maybe it's better like this, Sera sounded arrogant and a bit annoying to me.

@StingerRay I like the thought of having Lia Elrensdottir as a character. Yes, she does have the potential of becoming a City Watchman (Watchwoman? Watchelf? WatchArwen?) which probably makes her the first anything official for an elf that isn't a Warden (even then, there's only a couple of elvish Wardens, and if you don't Import/Keep Mahariel, there's only one Dalish one, who writes all those notes on the Storm Coast).

Still, I wonder if the Dalish would suddenly be tricked by Solas. Yesyesyes, Lavellan blundered into that one (along with everyone else), and I guess getting in touch with Femeth/Mythal didn't warrant a warning (whoops). But I also have a hard time beliving that the Dalish would align themselves with (gasp, racist term coming up!)
