What happens after Dragon age 2. If Anders survives the mission the last straw and the final battle. Not much is said about him in dragon age Inquisition.
I guess He would be on the run again. After all so many people would want him dead . However one would assume that he is forgotten. As Coryphaeus shows up at the conclave. The destroys everyone there except for the person who will become Inquisitor.
Does Anders go back to the Grey Wardens. Or change his identity to hide in plain sight.
Is he even going be in a later game.
I know most people murder him to death in dragon age 2. However id like to keep those comments to a minimum.
Ok I think this Message board has gotten way off track of about Andres post DA2 so I recommend we get back on track and move this talk of the Templar, Dalish Mages, and what ever else to their own message boards
Sebastian was talking about the number of people inside the Chantry itself at the time.
As for the Dalish throwing away their mage children, one clan did that. One. That does not mean that's what all of the clans do. Not all clans are the same.
I doubt, even one clan did it. That incredibly stupid.
But the game suggest, they do it with REASON.
Nothing able to explain that, but they tried. Seriously. Funny.
And yes, fortunately, Lavellan able to say, that his/her clan wouldn't do that.
^Her clan, and the Sabrae clan (Merrill's & the Dalish Warden's). And Zathrian's - I think Lanaya says that the Dalish value their mages. The three clans we have the most interaction with directly contradict that notion that -all- Dalish clans behave that way.
The fact that Lavellan can immediately point out that not all clans do that makes me think that it was never intended to be the new canon for how all clans operate. It was probably meant to show that the clans can be very different. The fact that some people simply assume it's the new canon is cherry picking at its finest.
That said, there's no reason to think that Minaeve is lying, or even wrong. Maybe her clan is just odd. I mean, aren't there some clans that are so hostile they kill humans on sight? Yet that is obviously not the way all Dalish behave. Assuming that all clans are going to be exactly the same is like assuming that Orlesian and Fereldens are all the same.
Minaeve doesn't have to lie.
Probably it's right, that she was alone in the wild, and probably her clan sent her to the another one. What happened during the road, wild beasts or Templars killed them – but probably her escort died. And the Templars brought her to the Circle.
Absolutely logical, that she believes what they told her – especially if it can be true – the Templars can believe that the Dalish clans such idiots.
Minaeve was a shocked child.
Of course, it not canon, but I can't explain it another way.
I know, they're different, but they are in contact with each other. (DAO)
Just think about if any clan find out, that some clans among them just threw out their mages children when there are clans, that don't have enough.
And no reason to do it. Nothing. Then why would even ONE, that does it? For fun?
(The whole idea just for justify that the Southern Circle-system is the best method in the whole Thedas. But the demonstration just lame.)
@Silver Warden Actually we find two mages that got the boot. "Dalish" from the Bulls Chargers. You know the one that says she ISN'T a mage
Yes, Minaeve and Dalish both say that this stupidity exists.
And Bull + Vivienne says, the reason for this that they don't have Templars.
Both are acknowledged Dalish-experts.
^^So she so she was kicked out for "not" being a mage? That makes even less sense. Minaeve is telling the truth, but we have no reason to believe "Dalish". She needs to pick a story. Either she's not a mage at all or she was kicked out for being a mage. She can't have it both ways. Lairs only get one lie.
Plus, she never says she was abandoned as a child. She says she was sent away from her clan. We don't know when that was (if it even was). She could've been fully grown by then.
And she has more than one story, too. She also says that her Keeper sent her to see the world. So Dalish spins several tales, and we have no way of knowing which one is true, or if any of them are.
^^^ Conflicting information. She claims being sent away to see the world or something like that. One might suspect that she's some sort of spy like Lavellan. Bull isn't the most magic-friendly character out there and Viv is preposterous but totally not knowledgeable, as in most situations that deal with any magic use that is not chantry-approved. They are both extremely narrow minded and arrogant in applying the "Chantry's way" to everyone else. Unfortunately players also tend to do this alot.
Hey guys, Thehumanelder was correct, this discussion is way off topic. Please return to the topic at hand, but you're all more than welcome to continue this Dalish/mage topic in another thread though. ☺
What do you think?
