Yeah, there's nothing to miss. DA 2 and Inquisition have banter. If you're not hearing it in Inquisition, it could be because you're using mounts. The solution: get off the stupid mounts, you don't need them anyway.
I'm not sure how you could be missing the banter in DA 2. Maybe you're entering combat too quickly?
Don't DAO and DA2 have the same banter mechanics ,i.e. it triggers when walking over certain spots in the world? Like that bridge in Lothering or the Orzammar "entrance hall". DAI's banter is reportedly a bit buggy at times; I've read that checking your quest log for finished stuff and selecting every point on the list so the "new stuff" icon is gone could help.
(Gah. Am I the only one whose new response window does not properly recognize spaces?)
^No. Good to know it's not something on my end, I thought maybe my spacebar was broken.
Origins has banter trigger spots. In DA 2 I think the banter just starts whenever you enter a new area. Inquisition's banter is timed.
Not really. Zevran constantly talking about Wynne's breasts gets old .
At least he had a little more tact than Isabelle. ...Well not really, come to think of it I keep forgetting why I let him live. Anyway everything's got moments that are worth it but Inquisition did the least for me in character attachment and banter.
I think the banter in Inquisition is random. I can travel the entirety of the hissing wastes. And not hear any chatter.
^^ I know why I let him live. I do it because I don't want to use Leliana all the time, as I usually don't play rogues. *LOL*
My favorite banter involves the dog. Especially the part were he joins the group. If you chose the option he can stay but, he better be useful . Morrigan replies and yet we still have Allistair.
As to the Zevran comment. My warden Alexander keeps him around. Because he makes questionable decisions. Like dating a person that was hired to assassinate him.
I have yet to play 2 and Inquisition. So I can't choose.
The banter in Inquisition is pretty buggy. Once a friend of mine heard none during all his gameplay. In a playthrough of mine, I stopped listening after reaching Skyhold, and it was only during Jaws of Hakkon that some chats happened again. Oh, and practically i only use mounts on the Hissing Wastes.
What do you think?
